Deanna Veltri

Deanna is a Director in StrategyCorp’s Management Consulting Practice. Deanna is a seasoned public sector practitioner, advisor and consultant, bringing over seven years of industry and consulting experience in Canada’s public and private sectors. Prior to joining StrategyCorp, Deanna worked for KPMG Canada as a Manager leading key public sector files, primarily on behalf of the Government Solutions practice. During her time at KPMG, Deanna managed a pipeline valued at over $5 million in transformation projects involving large internal and client teams. She has worked with numerous government ministries, Ontario municipalities, arms-length agencies and not for profit organizations to chart a clear vision and transform their inner-workings.

Deanna’s clients have spanned across sectors to include affordable housing, financial services, long-term care, developmental services, transportation, health, K-12 and post-secondary education, workforce development, and employment services. Deanna has worked with everyone from frontline to senior and executive-level staff within and outside government to evaluate and transform important policies, programs, processes and teams in such a way that puts citizen and client experience and outcomes at the forefront. Throughout her career, Deanna has taken pride in her ability to work collaboratively and constructively with others to navigate challenges in a way that produces tangible results for those who need it most, be it staff or clients. Some of Deanna’s notable capabilities and experiences include:

  • Certified and experienced as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Deanna has undertaken over 15 different service delivery and process improvement projects on behalf of large and medium-size organizations including identifying opportunities for better and more integrated resourcing and service delivery. She has helped these organizations learn and adopt quality improvement as a mindset.
  • A strong facilitator who has successfully led senior- and operations-level teams to navigate wicked challenges, challenge their assumptions, and work in true collaboration to achieve project outcomes using engaging approaches that keep people engaged and interested in the problem at-hand. Deanna has been responsible for managing some of the Government of Ontario’s largest policy transformation files in the last 3 years, including working with municipalities to implement these changes on the ground.
  • A seasoned project manager, Deanna has attained more than 8,000 hours of project management experience in her seven year career, mainly driving large-scale, highly sensitive projects with large expected impacts on people, processes and technology. This helps Deanna strike a strong balance between focus and agility in her project delivery.

Deanna is a graduate of the Munk School Masters of Public Policy and Global Affairs Program at the University of Toronto. She also possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University.
