About Us
Our Story
Purpose Forward is a Canadian not-for-profit corporation that was established in early 2021 to accelerate the growth of grassroots, social purpose organizations. The founders have spent most of the last decade in senior roles in the not-for-profit sector with large community charities and hospitals.
While these established organizations play a crucial role in making our communities better, they are not designed to innovate. The problems of our time require modern solutions to work in a system that has historically been designed with lots of processes to mitigate risk.
Purpose Forward was founded to help grassroots organizations navigate this complex system and effectively scale to maximize impact.

Greg Zatulovsky
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
As a senior finance, HR, IT, and operations leader in the community not-for-profit sector as well as the founder of an accounting practice serving grassroots organizations in Ontario, Greg has demonstrated that operational innovation is created at the intersection of people, process, and technology.
Recent achievements include:
- 2021 CPA Ontario Emerging Leaders Award recipient for his contribution at the intersection of accounting and social purpose.
- Enabled a community non-profit with 13 locations, 350+ staff, and over 6000 vulnerable clients transition to remote work at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Led 36% growth over 3 years at a community mental health charity.
- Developed and led the execution of a technology and information management strategy, including Microsoft 365 migration, new medical record system, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Aligning the back-office of a children’s mental health charity into a leading Toronto hospital following the merger of the 2 organizations.
