Meet Hassan, our People, Equity and Inclusion Specialist at Purpose Forward. Hassan is a dynamic professional with a versatile background spanning both non-profit and corporate environments. His deep commitment to creating meaningful impact in the social purpose sector has led him to excel in various roles across advocacy, community services, and the business sector.
Hassan has made noteworthy contributions to his field, including creating and leading the first UNICEF Campus Club in the Maritimes to support humanitarian crises across the globe. In addition, he played a pivotal role in securing program funding and grants as a leader of an award-winning student-led social enterprise tackling food waste and insecurity among other pressing issues.
Driven by his passion for project management, Hassan is dedicated to transforming project initiatives into achievable goals, leveraging technology to drive business growth and success. He also developed his expertise in human resources, social media, and content development within a corporate structure during his internship at Royal Bank of Canada.
As a firm believer in lifelong learning and constantly striving to grow as an individual, team player, and leader, Hassan has obtained professional certificates in project management, data analytics, and social media marketing. With a background as an international student, he brings a unique global perspective and is passionate to share his expertise to help Purpose Forward achieve both its immediate milestones and far-reaching goals.
Hassan holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree and is currently pursuing his Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certificate.
Outside of work, he has a passion for travel and learning about new cultures through first-hand experiences. His adventurous spirit and pursuit of learning have taken him to 50 countries so far. One of his favorite quotes, which deeply resonates with his work, is: “The world is a diverse book, and those who do not travel and continuously learn about different cultures and perspectives, read only one page.”
